Painted by H. Singleton and Engraved by J. Rogers. Published by The London Printing and Publishing Company. A smaller engraving lower center "Tippoo's sons given to the English as hostages". Singleton was noted for large compositions from the Bible, Shakespeare or contemporary historical events. This engraving is a version of Singleton's original oil on canvas painting series made in circa 1800.
