DESCRIPTION
Sailoz Mookherjea was a pioneering figure in modern Indian art during the twentieth century. He began his art training at the Government College of Art and Craft in Calcutta in the late 1920s and later taught at the Sarada Ukil School of Art and the Fine Arts Department at Delhi Polytechnic. Mookherjea's work blends modern western styles with Indian aesthetics. His themes often centered on rural life and landscapes. This serigraph is one of Sailoz Mookherjea's rarer works.
