With Screenplay, Additional Dialogue and Direction by J.B.H. Wadia, Bodana was a creative playground for his experimentation in classical music for the first time on the Indian screen. He also introduced Master Vasant, the popular singer of Saurashtra as Bodana and Rani Premlata as Kanchanmala in this film. This classical innovation was Avinash Vyas's first assignment as a Music Director in Hindi films. The film also included the expertise of the talented exponent of the Kathak Schoolof Dancing Miss Shirin Vajifdar who composed two song dance numbers in the Garba style to resonate with the spirit of the setting placed in Gujarat.
