Maulvi Zaka Ullah [1832-1910] was an eminent Urdu writer who compiled a 10-volume history of India. Set against the milieu of the 1857 mutiny, this book traces the life of Zaka Ullah while translating the social and literary history of Delhi. The book further touches upon the emerging nationalist movement during the latter half of the nineteenth century.
