A signed and dated book written by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1949. The book is an enlightening collection of the more important speeches by Nehru from 1946 to 1949. The book also seems to have been a wedding gift signed by S. Hanumanthrao to probably a dear friend. The speeches cover the period of a little over a year and a half following the attainment of independence by India. The speeches in this collection were all delivered in English except The Last Journey translated from Hindustani.
