Rathin Maitra, a trailblazing artist of the 20th century left an indelible mark on the evolution of modern Indian painting. As a key founding member of both the Calcutta Group and the Modern Art Society in Calcutta, Maitra’s artistic contributions explored a rich array of styles and themes.
