We are proud to present a groundbreaking NFT project that seamlessly merges the worlds of music and visual art.
Art Meets Jazz introduces 1225 (35x35) multimedia NFTs that pair his original art works (35 canvas works) with his original jazz (35 original jazz compositions) compositions, creating an immersive, multi-sensory experience. This innovative collection captures the dynamic relationship between sound and sight, with each piece "dancing" to the rhythm of Banks' original jazz compositions.
These NFTs mark the redefining of the intersection of traditional art and cutting-edge technology. Each artwork was carefully reviewed, with consultations and inputs guiding the identification of suitable layers. Appropriate movements were then determined for each of these layers. Jazz compositions were used as inputs, enabling the layers to move and respond, thereby creating entirely new digital compositions. Given the size of the artworks and the intensity of the jazz compositions, the process was computationally intensive.

Art Meets Jazz at Jolie's, Mumbai
The journey began with the Art Meets Jazz show at Jolie's in Mumbai, organized and curated by Prinseps. This event unveiled Banks’ lesser-known identity as a painter and visual artist, offering a unique blend of music and art. The exhibition highlighted his works that are now translated into NFTs, where the magic of his jazz compositions meets his paintings. Watch our interview with Louiz Banks here.
Art Meets Jazz at Trincas, Kolkata
Following the success in Mumbai, Louiz Banks returned to Kolkata for the Art Meets Jazz event, curated by Prinseps as a part of the Bengal Biennale. This event, held in the nostalgic setting of Park Street—where Banks had performed in the 1970s—was a celebration of his multifaceted creativity. It bridged his musical legacy with his visual artistry, providing a powerful and immersive experience for attendees.
