1948 - The "OG" Avatars

Here are some of the topics discussed at the NFT event at Soho House on 11th June 2023. We discuss what is an NFT and the the various issues surrounding these. We also introduce Gobardhan Ash's avatars - art works created between 1948 and 1951 which are similar to the profile picture projects created in the early 2020's. The focus of Gobardhan Ash's avatars was the personality trait , the emotional bonding, the role of the person and not the detailed features of the person.
